An Ode to Feroce Magazine

Daina Renton is a bloody creative genius. Quite literally bloody when it comes to some of the more witchy and vampiric fashion shoots we've done together. Daina Renton, the fabulous female joker, creatively directs and expertly curates Edinburgh-based Feroce Magazine, my new favourite fashion magazine, unlike any other. Feroce comes out twice a month in print and digital, filled to the brim with editorial campaigns from the world's most innovative fashion photographers, stylists, make up artists and models. Read on to find out why I love Feroce magazine so bloody much....

If you love seeing the newest, coolest fashion communication work and supporting local, independant creatives, then Feroce is the magazine for you. Daina clearly sees the gap in the market when i comes to fashion-forward thinkers who no longer want to be fashion followers, who want to read non-traditional fashion magazines that inspire them to innovate in their industry. For me certainly flicking through the pages of the last 3 issues I picked up, my head is full of fresh ideas for photoshoots and projects at university where i study fashion communication.

Unlike ordinary glossy fashion magazines, you don't have to wait an entire motnh for fresh new content, as Feroce has not one but two volumes of both print and digital editions coming out each and every month. Each issue features stunning editorial photoshoots that are unlike   anything you'lll see in Vogue. Instead of advertising big name brands, these fashion stories are celebrating unique personalities, gifted collaborators and exploring wildly different themes. Theres even a special edition Caledonia issue coming soon, featuring the cream of the crop of Scottish creative talent, something that I am beyond game for. This country is still so under-appreciated when it comes to our fashion industry, and luckily, projects like Feroce are helping to bring us back into the spotlight.
