Dive Queer Party: Scottish Mental Health and Arts Festival

Scotland’s most notorious queer arts collective Dive Queer Party return to the Traverse Theatre for a special Hallowe’en-themed cabaret show on Sunday 29th October as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival 2017.

Hosted by Scotland’s queen of queer cabaret, Miss Annabel Sings, the event will feature guest performers from King Biff: Pick Up Artist and Fedora Veronica Homberg. The event will also feature a comeback performance from Saint McCabe, creator of Edinburgh’s notorious queer punk festival Pussy Whipped.

Credited for redefining the Scottish queer club scene, Scotland’s best loved and most notorious queer cabaret party mongers Dive Queer Party return to the Traverse Theatre after a triumphant Fringe run for their outrageously queer, Hallowe’en-themed, cabaret interpretation of the beloved Blind Date.

Dive presents The Miss Annabel Sings Show: Horrific Blind Date will be a heady mix of horrifying comedy, ghoulish live music, devilish dancing, tongue-tingling bespoke cocktails, gruesome grub and terrifyingly top-notch performances.

The event will close the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival (SMHAF) 2017, one of Scotland’s most diverse cultural offerings. The festival celebrates and supports an explosive array of art forms and events challenging preconceived ideas about mental health.

The event kicks off with a spooky disco from 4-6pm with tasty grub and themed cocktails served in the Traverse Café Bar. The Miss Annabel Sings Show opens at 6pm with guest performances from King Biff and Fedora Veronica Homburg, as well as Blind Date inspired audience games and a special celebrity drag queen dating round.

I can't wait for this incredible spectacle, and hope to see you there! I'll actually be filming the event so please come and say hello in between partying your pants off!
