Scotland Redesigned Showcase 2016

On Thursday night Scotland: ReDesigned celebrated its 10th anniversary with Evolve, a showcase of fashion, accessories and interior designers based in Scotland. Taking place at Glasgow's St Enoch Centre, guests had a VIP preview of stalls from each designer, a fashion show on the S:RD runway, and an awards ceremony for this year's best fashion brands. This weekend they are also running a pop-up shop at the same venue, so if you're in Glasgow today, make sure to check it out and #shoplocal!

A huge range of people from throughout Scotland's fashion industry turned up, including bloggers Forever Your's Betty, Bee Waits and Honey Pop Kisses, musicians, designers, press, politicians and more. We even got an exclusive view of a fashion film by London fashion house Teatum Jones, and talks from Anna Freemantle-Zee, Helen Marnie, Fiona Hyslop and Chris Hunt.  It was wonderful to be in an environment where all the emphasis was on celebrating the plethora of talent we have here in Scotland, and there was an atmosphere of excitement for what is to come, for the progress made even in the last 10 yeas is immense.

It was great to see some familiar brands there, including Fashion Foundry, Glasgow School of Art, Hayley McSporran and Covet- which I will be wearing to tonight's Herald Fashion Awards! I adore Covet's debut eponymous collection of handbags, especially the blue and purple metallic range (goes perfectly with my blue hair!)

As part of the showcase, Scot Street Stylehad a gallery of up and coming Scottish photographers: #Onward! Including Gavin McQueen, Zeno Watson and Peter McNally.

As well as established Scottish fashion brands like Siobhan McKenzie Kilts, I really enjoyed discovering some newbies, such as Luul, Irena Gusakova and Nonchalant.

Womenswear designer Kirsteen Stewart, based in Orkney.

Gorgeous delicate underwear brand Mischke Lingerie, based in Edinburgh.

One of my favourite Glasgow fashion brands Rachel McMillan, part of Fashion Foundry 2016.

Awesome Origami lights from interiors brand Misty Concepts.

Print Designer Laura Spring, who won the S:RD interiors award on the night!

One of my favourite up and coming abstract interior designers Mairi Helena.

I couldn't not take pictures and try on this fluffy coat of dreams by Barbra Kolasinki, again part of Glagow's Fashion Foundry!

Cool Victoriana style creations by long time Scottish design favourite Judy R Clark
