Women in Contemporary Society Photography Exhibition

Last Friday I attended the opening night preview of Women in Contemporary Society, a photography exhibition by third year students at Napier University as part of Space: Occupied at Trinity Apse. The collective involves talented photographers Rosemary Adler, Cirstyn Brown, Jade Cofor, Oliver Forde, Agata Kozlowska, Sandi Macdonald-Haig and Stewart Main, all creating unique works around the theme of female identity in the modern world.

The photography exhibition took place in an old medieval church hidden away behind the Royal Mile, a really beautiful venue that seriously took my breath away. I was truly impressed by how the project all came together after months of hard work. Guests were treated to beer, wine and nibbles (the salted caramel fudge was my ultimate fave!) while we looked through the highly polished photographs hung up on industrial scaffolding structures.
