Healthy Living On The Go With Tempo Tea
I am thrilled to announce that Tempo, my favourite Scottish bubble tea brand, has invited me to be a brand ambassador for their new offering, a tea infuser bottle that allows you to drink delicious, healthy tea on the go. The product launched yesterday via Kickstarter, so I thought I'd share my experience using it at home (recipe ideas below!), plus an exclusive discount code for Urbanity readers!
Tempo has brought out their own beautiful glass tea infuser, which quickly and conveniently infuses loose leaf teas and fruits with hot or cold water, as part of their efforts to become more sustainable in 2018. The Tea Infuser Bottle is designed in Scotland and crafted in China from glass, which not only looks more elegant and sleek than a plastic bottle but is much more eco-friendly too. The tea bar also provides a protective sleeve to make the bottle completely non-slip and keeps hands safe from hot drinks, and the bottle in a sturdy tube which is far too pretty to throw away.
Here are some great recipes that I experimented with, to get you started with your infuser:
'Mojito' Green tea, lime and mint leaves.
'Fruit salad' Peppermint tea, strawberries, frozen mango and lime.
'Cold cure' Lemon and honey tea, lemon and ginger.
'Hydration station' Raspberry tea, watermelon, frozen blueberries and cucumber.
The infuser has so many benefits which I can't wait to enjoy, including:
Drinking more water and getting hydrated - my skin is going to thank me
Eating more fruit - you can munch the fruit after drinking
Cutting down on caffeine and sugar from coffees and regular teas
Saving money by bringing my own delicious drinks out on the go
Helping me move towards zero-waste living by cutting out plastic cups
The durable glass infusion bottle holds up to 450ml amount, and is made from high quality borosilicate double glass. This is toughened glass that keeps your drinks warm, or cold, even if the weather changes suddenly. It also features a stainless steel infusion basket which holds your fruit or tea blend and stops any leaves or bits getting into your drink, and a bamboo lid engraved with the Tempo logo! The great thing about this tea infuser bottle is that you can also make fruit infused tea OR water; the wee basket can be removed if you just want fruit infused water.
The bottle usually costs £25.00, but you can get an amazing 20% off when you use my discount code URBANITY20 at checkout! It's available to buy online here, or support the Kickstarter campaign here for some extra perks!
Anyone that supports this project customers will receive money off their drink when they bring their bottle in-store to get refilled, and in the long run the money they save will definitely add up to the price of the bottle. You can visit Tempo Tea Bar at their awesome locations; Edinburgh's New Waverley Arches and Glasgow's Queen Street. Find out more at tempoteabar.com
